THE FIGURE FOR 2008 IS 36.6%
Mayor Bartolo and his co-authors foolishly made a comparison of Celoron to Falconer and Lakewood. As you can see here there's quite a difference in government spending and it's gotten worse. As stated above Celoron's % has increased as if it wasn't bad enogh the previous year.
The bottom line in this comparison is that where Falconer and Lakewood may have higher dollar amounts of spending; they have more population, more acreage, more industry, higher average values on homes, and significantly higher revenues and worth.
Now how about a more appropriate comparison. The towns of Kiantone and Poland, both of which are one municipality, therefore unlike Celoron you don't add their tax burdens for the village to the towns. In the case of Kiantone you have a much greater acreage but similar population, in the case of Poland the acreage is vastly greater and the population is twice that of Celoron. Notice however that government spending in both cases in almost even with Celoron, even though again these other municipalities have greater revenues, industry, and worth .
